What led to the end of WWII?

Commonly held general causes for WWII are the rise of nationalism, the rise of militarism, and the presence of unresolved territorial issues.

How did WWII start?

it lasted from 1939 to 1945, and it was a global war and it was also known as the second world war

How was the situation in Europe making war seem like more and more of a possibility?

The situation in Europe made war seem more like a possibility because people weren't getting along or on the same page. this made people on edge and mad at each other, and this started wars.

What types of social changes occurred as a result of WWI?

the social changes that occurred as a result of world war 1 was Fascism.

what did i learn

from Sam and Alyssa's group i learned that in the war, when you got that gas stuff on you, it left you deformed and left holes in your face, and also gave you blisters. from Ryan's poster, i learned that you could get something called trench foot, and it made your feet all messed up and looking horrible, and you got trench foot from standing in the muddy, wet, and gross trenches all day. from Cameron coes presentation, i learned that there was underground living quarters, and it thoroughly grossed me out. from Austin L. i learned about machine guns and how they were very big and heavy, even when they tried to improve it. from Andrew L. presentation, i learned about money and the way the country handled it, and a whole bunch of charts and graphs.

What effect did WWI have on world?

WWI left a big mark on the world, there were many deaths, and many families were sad that there family members were dying.

convoy: or groups of merchant ships protected by warships

What were some technological advances, and how did they affect the war?

Some technological advances are radios, like radios nowadays in the war, they call down to there a airplane stations for like support and missiles and bombs for the air and what not. They also could use radios to talk to other people in the ranks, that would be fighting other places, and call them in for back up.

There were a lot of missionaries and explorers that traveled to Africa, changing the Africans religion and other things.The Africans didn't like these changes and weren't very happy about it, yet they couldn't do a whole lot about it.

What are our current working conditions like today? How are they different from working conditions in the past? How would you feel if going to work was a dangerous task? How about if you had to work long days?

What are our current working conditions like today?  How are they different from working conditions in the past?  How would you feel if going to work was a dangerous task?  How about if you had to work long days? 

the working conditions today are positively horrible, in my opinion, this has to do with Obama being our president! most people don't even have jobs and are having a hard life because of it. the working conditions in the past were similar, but people at least had jobs back then. the only difference is that their jonds were a bit dangerous, especially in the factories. i think i would endure the job, yet of course i would be afraid to. i could be ok with long days, just as long as i had a few days.

right now, i am 15 years old, i have to wait three more years until i am able to vote. yes i am excited to exercise this right because i want to be able to not vote for presidents like Obama  the voting needs common sense voters, which i plan to be. if i wasn't allowed this right i would hold rallies, and put posters up everywhere, and that sort of thing, just so i got a chance to vote.

January 8 quick write

for this semester of world history i plan on having an A or a high B, i also plan to pay attention so i can do good on tests because last semester i like failed all of my tests. last semester i didn't really do all that good in this class, so there's nothing to really talk about. this semester i plan to improve on studying and paying attention, and not getting called out into the hallway everyday! : D
